Carol Grice-Curran is a native of the south. Her paintings reflect this heritage – beaches the way they used to be before the crowds, the high rises, and the hurricanes that flattened the sand dunes – country roads, old barns with rust-covered tin roofs, southern seascapes and landscapes, birds. Prominent among her works are scenes along the Gulf of Mexico beaches and coastal rivers in Gulf Shores, Alabama and in Florida, Pensacola, Grayton Beach, Destin, Panama City, Fort Walton, Ponte Vedra Beach, Clearwater Beach, Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island and Sarasota.
